Have you ever thought of going on the ultimate trip across Europe? If so, here’s something to consider. Many tourists travelling Europe are opting for the train instead of a plane or car to get around. Trains are considered reliable, fast and relatively cheap. But as highlighted by a new research project, there are major differences within Europe in terms of how fast you can cover the same distance.
A PhD student at the University of Vienna selected 28 European cities and illustrated which surrounding cities or areas could be reached within a certain time.
The morale: If you prefer fast rides, start somewhere close to Paris or London.
