You need these travel apps…

Getting a little bored of using the same travel sites? Well, you’re in luck – we’ve put together a list of the best travel apps that you need to start using! If you want to plan the trip of a lifetime, get onto these apps now!

Apps for flying:

Hopper. Use Hopper to save some money on your flights. It’s really easy, all you have to do is search your destination and dates, and Hopper will give you a prediction on when the flights will be the cheapest. If they are not at the cheapest price Hopper lets you ‘watch’ the flights, then they’ll send you a notification when the price falls, which you can then book straight through the app.

LoungeBuddy. If you are partial to using an airport lounge, LoungeBuddy takes away all the hassle of tracking your rewards and bonuses and lets you find and use airport lounges stress-free.

App in the Air. They describe their app as a ‘personal flight assistant’, which is great if you need a little help when it comes to travelling! You can track your flights (using a timeline so you won’t end up missing your flight!), explore airports (information about the local weather, delays and currency), ‘keep the record’ (boarding passes, countries you’re visiting, airports, aircraft and airlines too) and organise your flights (details of all the flights you are taking in one handy place).

Find somewhere to eat:

Find. Eat. Drink. This app collects recommendations from professional chefs for a wide range of restaurants, cafes, bars and everything else food and drinks across the globe. You can download great city guides too!

HappyCow. This is for the vegans out there! This app helps you find the best vegan restaurants and stores in over 175 countries. They also have a cracking online community and a forum where you can talk with other vegans about the best places to shop and eat!

Find something to do:

Whym. This app allows you to book last-minute tickets to events and performances. It’s particularly good if you haven’t got anything planned or are in an unfamiliar place, but want to go out. You can also let Whym suggest what you should do in your chosen city. They will give some options about what is available, and you can book at ‘best price guaranteed’.

Headout. Use Headout if you want to find a cool activity or experience to do. They cover a wide range of cities and the offers are varied – from theatre shows to tours to excursions, they have it all! One of the best things is that they let you choose an activity in their ‘collection’ so it’s split up into different categories to make finding what you fancy doing easier.
