Changing your preferred language

At Monese, we are all about making your banking needs simple.

For instance, did you know that you can set the Monese app to your preferred language? Once changed, you can view and operate the entire app in the language of your choice.

We now offer the Monese app in 7 additional languages: German, Spanish, French, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Romanian and Bulgarian, with more to come.

Setting Monese to your preferred language can be done in 3 simple steps.

For Android users:

Step 1

Log in to your Monese app, you should see the home screen with your balance on the screen. On the top left hand corner you should see the hamburger menu.

Step 2

Tap the hamburger menu to bring up the menu screen. Scroll down to find the ‘Settings’ sub-header. This will take you to the ‘Settings’ screen, scroll down the screen to find the sub-header ‘Preferred language’.

Step 3

The Monese app is set to the default language English. Tap on ‘English’ which will take you the ‘Preferred language’ screen where you can select your preferred language.  A pop-up message will appear, telling you that to change the language you will need to restart the app.  You can tap on ‘Restart app’ or ‘Cancel’ if you would like to exit. If you select ‘Restart App’ the app will close and restart in the language that you chose.  The app should open to the home screen and set to the chosen language.

For iPhone users:

First log into your Monese account, you should see the home screen with the balance and the navigation bar at the bottom. Tap on the account icon which will take you to the account screen.

Step 2

On the top left hand corner of the account screen you will see the settings icon, tap on it to go into settings.

Step 3

Next scroll down the settings screen to the sub header ‘Language’ where you’ll see ‘Preferred language’ it will be set to the default language English. Click on the the arrow which will take you to the ‘Preferred Language’ screen to change the language settings.

Now Monese is set to your preferred language!

If you change your mind and would like to revert the language settings to English or any other language repeat the above steps again.
